As far as anyone knows do any of the main high street shops in the UK not use sweatshop labour?

It depends how you define sweat shop labour. A few years ago Nike were accused of using sweat shop labour because some of their products were made in the far east by people who were earning less than a dollar a day. When it was investigated, it was found that those workers were very well paid in comparison to others in their country. Do the research and draw conclusions yourself, rather than just ask others how they perceive things. In some countries a dollar a day is a very high wage.
I don’t know which don’t but i would just like to say that Topshop do, someone earlier said they don’t but they do.
They have a ‘fair trade’ section where you can buy fair trade clothes, but most are made in sweat shops.
Marks and Spencers have a large variety of fair trade clothes
British Home Stores….but…let me tell you, as i holiday in India….if these people don’t work on clothing for our shops…then they don’t eat – simple as that…they have no government hand outs & just can not survive without this sewing garments work.
as horrible & disgusting as it is for us to learn of sweatshops….these people need to work…..only their governments can change things & make life easier for the people in such countries as India.
Yeah loads of them :
